About Wayfaring Goods
Wayfaring Goods in a one-woman business ran by Nicole Aufderhar; a book binder and leather worker with 10+ years of experience bringing beautiful, heirloom quality leather journals and leather goods to your home. Based in the quiet northern countryside of Minnesota, her style reflects a different pace of life. One that appreciates taking the time to enjoy a hike through the woods or sitting down with a hot cup of tea and a good book. This influence is also demonstrated in how she creates her goods as she is committed to using traditional, slow craft methods. This means that everything you see has been created by my her two hands without the use of machines. Doing everything by hand may take longer but it also produces a far superior product and a deeper connection to her work. You'll be able to see the love and care that has gone into creating your brand new leather journal or leather good from the moment you first hold it in your hands.
Wayfaring Goods is a home to leather goods that are meant to last a lifetime and be handed down throughout generations. Nicole uses high quality, American made, full grain leather in her work. Hides are purchased and re-purposed from a Minnesota boot manufacturer meaning that your order will contain a variety of leather and listing photos are a representation of the design, not necessarily the leather you will receive. The more you use your Wayfaring Goods product, the more beautiful it will get; that is the great thing about quality leather
